Within the Conventus Medical Office Building, fit-out for UBMD on the 4th and 5th floors was a continuation of the CM at-Risk contract. Our team completed the fit-out of UBMD Physicians Group, creating space for twelve practices. The move allowed them to enhance the scope of services and provide better, more convenient access to comprehensive healthcare. Certainly, with this tenant it continues the theme of Conventus, which is coatless connections on the medical campus, a true center for collaborative medicine.

Construction kicked off during the spring of 2016. The 100,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art clinic and office space houses 80 medical exam rooms and 13 department suites that occupy the 4th and 5th floors. Coordination was key throughout the life of the project to ensure the needs of all stakeholders involved were met.

Within this new space, the UBMD practices now offer new and advanced technologies and services, such as the internal medicine practice for early detection of heart disease and stroke risk. Conventus allows for UBMD to deliver multi-disciplinary care and leverage the proximity with Oishei Children’s Outpatient Center on the 2nd and 3rd floors, as well as Oishei Children’s Hospital adjacent to the building. Additionally, the proximity of the practices to the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will enhance the capacity to teach the allied health professionals of the future. The project was completed on time and on budget.
