Every week, in its City Shaper series, WGRZ-TV highlights people who are helping to make Buffalo an even better place to live and work. It’s a chance to learn how people make a difference across all industries to accelerate Western New York’s revival.

In March, WGRZ profiled Gail Ettaro, Vice President of Business Operations for Arc Building Partners. The story highlights Ettaro’s work to grow the company and support our community, especially the Warm Up WNY blanket drive for John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital.

Ettaro also emphasized the importance of inspiring women to pursue careers in the construction industry. While women make up only nine percent of the U.S. construction industry, Ettaro explained why it’s an exciting time for women in construction. As the industry expands, new opportunities are being created and new pathways are being paved for more people to enter the field.
