Arc Community Outreach Throughout COVID-19

Fri, Apr 24th 2020 12:00 pm

As COVID-19 has had deep effects on our communities, Arc Building Partners understands how important it is to give back to those who need it during these times. Though we have been working to keep our projects on track and mitigate the consequences these circumstances may have on our job sites, we also have been making it a priority to find ways to support our neighbors. We believe that teamwork and compassion are what keeps communities together, and we would like to share how we have been driving forward to help while we all navigate this unprecedented time.

Donations to Food Drives & Frontline Workers

As a thank you to all of those working so hard to keep our communities safe, we have donated to two non-profit organizations in each of our localities. WNY Feeds the Frontline and FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) are working to buy meals from local restaurants to donate to first responders and health care workers on the frontlines of this fight. As small businesses struggle through this time as well, we proudly support our communities and want to do anything we can to help those in need.

PPE Donations to Healthcare Workers

As construction workers, we know how important it is to wear personal protective equipment. That’s why we wanted to make sure our healthcare workers were protected while they fight against COVID-19 in hospitals and healthcare facilities. We encouraged our team to send N95 masks to those who need them most. Two of our team members were able to collect and deliver more than 1,000 N95 masks to workers in our local healthcare facilities. We send a special thank you to Dwayne Fleming, Vice President of Field Operations and Bob Motz, Project Manager for their donations to Erie County Medical Center and Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.

Mask Donations to Veterans

We have been following orders from state officials closely and ensuring guidelines are complied to throughout the entirety of COVID-19. To continue supporting those in need, we have partnered with Cannon Design and MadeToAid to donate cloth face masks to veterans in our communities. MadeToAid is an organization fueled by volunteers who can sew cloth masks and donate them to those in need. To date, the MadeToAid volunteers have sewed more than 1,000 cloth masks for our veterans. As a MadeToAid partner, Arc Building Partners is proud to have donated to the VA Buffalo Medical Center and the VA NJ Healthcare System – Lyons Campus. We also send a special thank you to our team member, Tammy Forbes, for volunteering to sew veteran masks. For more information on donating masks to veterans, please click HERE.
